Jörgen Persson (born April 22, 1966, in Halmstad, Sweden) is a Swedish table tennis player. In two memorable World Table Tennis Championship finals he faced fellow Swede Jan-Ove Waldner in 1989 and 1991, losing the former and winning the latter. Persson has represented Sweden in every Olympic Games since table tennis was introduced in to the Olympic program. His best Olympic result is a fourth place at the 2000 Summer Olympics and 2008 Summer Olympics. Jorgen, alongside Matthew Syed, appears in an online game, Table Tennis Game by Shockplay, in which he is the best player, most players finding it extremely difficult to beat him.
