Jérôme Leroy (born November 4, 1974 in Béthune) is a French footballer currently playing for Rennes as an attacking midfielder.

Leroy started playing for Paris Saint-Germain (losing the 1997 Cup Winners' Cup to FC Barcelona), going on to represent Stade Lavallois, Olympique de Marseille (being first loaned by PSG then sold) and En Avant Guingamp.

In 2003 he reached the French Cup final, also with PSG, before finally reaching promised land with FC Sochaux in the same competition (2007).

Luis Fernandez, Leroy's former mentor at Paris St-Germain, brought him to Teddy Kollek Memorial Stadium, home to Beitar Jerusalem F.C., in December 2005 from Ligue 1 RC Lens, beating off competition from l'OM. During Leroy's short time in Israel he became somewhat of an icon. In his league debut against rivals Hapoel Bnei Sakhnin FC, the match ended in an altercation between fans and a 0-0 result.

On June 25, 2006, Beitar took off from Ben Gurion International Airport on an El Al flight to the Netherlands for preseason training. Leroy chose not to join the team opting to check options of staying in France for the 2006-07 season.[1]A deal with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard was ultimately arranged.

For 2007-08, Leroy joined Stade Rennais FC, where he was dubbed "Leroy (le roi, "the king") de la passe" (king of assists).
