János D. Aczél (26 December, 1924, Budapest, Hungary) is a Canadian mathematician. His main topic is functional equations. He is professor emeritus in the Department of Pure Mathematics, University of Waterloo. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (1971), and an external member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (1990).
