Near Ismaning there is a large broadcasting facility called Transmitter Ismaning. Ismaning has good road and rail links to Munich city centre, and although a quiet and peaceful town, it offers many opportunities for leisure. Ismaning is home to many traditional restaurants and eateries. The small, quaint river running through the centre of the town features many different types of freshwater fish.
