Irving Arnold Noren (born November 29, 1924 in Jamestown, New York) is a retired American professional baseball and basketball player. He played outfield in the Major Leagues from 1950-1960. He played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Washington Senators, New York Yankees, Kansas City Athletics, Chicago Cubs, and Los Angeles Dodgers. He also played for the National Basketball League's Chicago American Gears in 1946-47.[1]

After his playing days were over, Noren worked as a minor league manager. During his time managing the Hawaii Islanders, Noren would fine players $50 if they showed up too sunburned to play baseball.[2]

Noren also worked as a Major League Coach. He was on the staff of the Oakland Athletics as they won three consecutive World Series from 1972 to 1974.
