Irene Osgood, Mrs. John Andrews (b. January 18, 1879, Big Rapids, Michigan) was an American writer on problems of women in industry. She was born in Big Rapids, Michigan and educated at the School of Philanthropy in New York and at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She began her career as agent for the Associated Charities at Minneapolis, Minnesota, and, in 1906 was appointed special agent for relief work in the American Red Cross in San Francisco, and factory inspector in Wisconsin. She was head resident of the Northwestern University Settlement, Chicago in 1907. She became assistant secretary of the American Association for Labor Legislation in 1908 and a member or the Y.W.C.A. National Industrial Commission to Europe (1918), was author of contributions to the Legislative Review. She wrote:
