Interavia Airlines was an airline based in Moscow, Russia. It operated scheduled and charter passenger services. Its main base was Domodedovo International Airport, Moscow[1]. The Russian aviation authority suspended their flights from 17 October 2008.[2]
[edit] HistoryThe airline was established as Astair Airlines in 1998 and became Interavia Airlines on 18 May 2005[1]. It started regular services from Moscow in July 2005[3]. Interavia Airlines was registered as a corporation with publicly traded stock, with no shares owned by the Russian Government. Because of financial difficulties, the airline has suspended operations on October 9, 2008[4] and shortly thereafter lost its operating licence. [edit] General DirectorVladimir Gloshkin graduated from Riga Institute of Civil Aviation Engineering with a diploma of an Mechanical Engineer Operator of civil aircraft and engines. Has extensive experience in the field of civil aviation engineering, was employed at various engineering/maintenance organizations within the Russian Federation: Dushanbe ATB, Belgorod ATB, senior engineer of Bykovo Moscow Airport. Employed between 1994 and 2004 at State freight forwarding company "Russia", "Airflot", "Atlant-Soyuz". Gloshkin, who has experience of the technical maintenance of Russian-made aircraft, was Interavia's General Director.
