Idaho Falls High School (IFHS), commonly referred to as I.F.,^[9] is a high school located in central Idaho Falls, Idaho. The school's current building opened in 1952, though the school itself has been in operation for well over a century.^[1][2] IFHS is one of two high schools in Idaho School District 91, along with Skyline High School. Its mascot is the tiger, known as Teeger the Tiger.^[6]

Idaho Falls High School is the oldest high school in the city of Idaho Falls. A new school was built in 1952 following the loss of Central High School in a fire at its present location.^{[citation needed]} Also in 1952, the city of Idaho Falls constructed the Civic Auditorium which adjoins Idaho Falls High School[1]. The Auditorium remains to be a center for performing arts in the area. Paul Haack wrote its school song in 1927^[10] and its newspaper is the Tiger Times.^[7]

James Francis, teacher of Advanced Placement European History and Advanced Placement United States History, was the recipient of the 1997 Idaho Teacher of the Year Award.^[11]

State Championships won by Idaho Falls High School sports programs:

• Cross Country: Boys: 1995, '96, 2002.
• Football: 1987, '88, '90, '91.
• Boys Soccer: 2003.
• Volleyball: 2003, '04, '05.
• Boys Track: 1927, '49, '67.
• Wrestling: 1997, '98, 2006, '09.

The wrestling team won state in 1997, 1998, 2006, and 2009, while placing 2nd in 2005, 2007, and 2008. The team has been ranked nationally, 11th in 1997 and 4th in 1998.^{[citation needed]}
