Territory of Ibero-Maurusian and Capsian cultures

Ibero-Maurusian, or Oranian[1], or Ouchtatian[2] archaeological industry was spread in the Northern Africa in Epipaleolithic. The culture is supposed to have emerged either as a result of migration of Cro-Magnon people from the Iberian peninsula, hence the name, or from the local Aterian culture. The culture existed between 10 120 — 8 550 BC. Ibero-Maurusian people belonged to the Mechtoid anthropological type[3].
