Iberdrola Renovables (English: Iberdrola Renewables, BMAD: IBR) is a Spanish multinational corporation, headquartered in Valencia, which includes companies in the domains of renewable energy, particularly wind power. The firm is the world's largest renewable energy firm[2]: it is the world's largest owner-operator of wind farms,[3] but also operates in the solar, hydro, biomass and wave power industries.[4] Formerly a wholly-owned business unit of Iberdrola under the name Iberenova,[5] 20% of the company was floated on the Bolsa de Madrid in December 2007 in an initial public offering worth €4.1 billion.[6] The company joined the benchmark IBEX 35 index in a February 2008 reshuffle.[7]
