Ian Bennett (born August 27, 1983) is a Canadian soccer player who currently plays for the Richmond Kickers of the USL Second Division and the Chicago Storm in the Xtreme Soccer League.

[edit] Playing career

Bennett was born and grew up in Hamilton, Ontario, attending St. Thomas More Catholic Secondary School. He then moved south to Indiana where he attended Marian College. He played on the school's NAIA soccer team from 2003 to 2006. By this time, he had an extensive playing resume with the Hamilton Thunder in the Canadian Professional Soccer League. He joined the Thunder in 2001 and remained with the team through the 2005 season. In 2006, he spent the summer with the Palm Beach Pumas of the Premier Development League.[1] In 2007, he moved up to the Charleston Battery in the USL First Division. In the fall of 2007, Bennett signed with the Chicago Storm of the Major Indoor Soccer League.[2] In 2008, he moved to the Richmond Kickers of the USL Second Division. He returned to the Storm, now playing in the Xtreme Soccer League for the 2008-2009 season.
