This article is about the song by Can. For the single by Faithless, see I Want More (Faithless song).
"I Want More" is a song on Can's 1976 album, Flow Motion. Unusually, it features all of the members of the band on vocals simultaneously and is characteristic of their Virgin era sound, with lyrics written by Peter Gilmour. It was the band's only hit single in the UK, for which there was a Top of the Pops performance for which the band were introduced by Noel Edmonds, who made the pun "I wonder if Can will get into the top tin!". It reached #26 in August 1976. [1] The song "...And More", also on Flow Motion, repeats the chorus of this track, and was included as a B-side to the single release. The single was given a reissue on its thirty year anniversary in 2006 by Spoon Records, with a limited number of copies. This reissue reached #103 in June 2006. It was released in 7" picture disc and 12" orange vinyl and digital download.[2] [edit] Other versionsThe song was covered by Australian band GBVG (an alias of the Underground Lovers) in 1998 and was an indie hit. Another cover version was by Fini Tribe and feature Chris Connelly on vocals. [edit] Notes
