For the album by Van Leer, see I Hate Myself (For Loving You) "I Hate Myself for Loving You" is a 1988 song from Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and the first single from the album, Up Your Alley. The song reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100[1], Jett's third single to reach the Top 10 since "Crimson and Clover" in 1982. The song was featured in the film Rounders. In 2006, the song was reworked as the opening theme for NBC's Sunday Night Football series. It was performed by Pink in the 2006 NFL season and by Faith Hill for the 2007 NFL season onward. Amanda Overmyer also performed it on the top rating show American Idol on its seventh season. The song featured in the 2008 video game Guitar Hero: Aerosmith as a playable track. [edit] References
