"I Don't Want to Be" is a song by Gavin DeGraw appearing on his 2003 debut album Chariot. It was released as a single in Australia in 2004, and in the UK in 2005. It is mainly known for being the theme song to the hit television drama series, One Tree Hill, seasons 1–4. The single became Gavin DeGraw's biggest hit to date, peaking at number ten in the U.S., and was certified Double Platinum, having sold over 2,000,000 paid downloads. It is also Gavin's only single to break the UK Top 40.
