The first Welterweight champion was Dr. Cerebro, winning the title on March 1, 1998 in a tournament final against Shiima Nobunaga.[1] Fuerza Guerrera is the current champion, having defeated Black Terry in Naucalpan, México on November 16, 2008. Guerrera is the 24th overall champion and he is a two time champion, also being the 22nd overall champion.[4] 14 individuals have held the Champions with Cerebro Negro being the person with most title reigns, fives. Cerebro Negro is also the individual to have the shortest reign, seven days while Dr. Cerebro has had the longest individual reign at 788 days. [edit] Title history - Key
