The IWRG Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship (Campeon Intercontinental Peso Completo IWRG in Spanish) is a currently inactive singles Championship in the Mexican lucha libre (Professional wrestling) promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) and was introduced in 1997. It has since been defended throughout Mexico, primarily in Naucalpan, but also in Japan as well.[1] As the Championship is designated as a heavyweight title, it can only officially be competed for by wrestlers weighing at least 105 kg (230 lb).[2] Being a professional wrestling championship, it is not won legitimately: it is instead won via a scripted ending to a match or awarded to a wrestler because of a storyline.

The championship has not been actively promoted by IWRG for over a year, while it has not been announced that it is inactive the last holder of the title, El Canek, does not work for IWRG on a regular basis. The first holder of the IWRG Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship was Pierroth, Jr. who won the title on September 28, 1997. There have been nine recognized champions, combining for 13 total reigns.El Canek is last holder of the title, having defeated Rayo de Jalisco, Jr. for the vacant title.[3]
