III. Kerületi TUE is a Hungarian football (soccer) club based in Óbuda in the III district (kerületi) of Budapest. It was founded 24 January, 1887. The club colors are blue and white. The home stadium of the club is the Hévízi út. The club currently plays in the third division (NBIII). In the final of the Hungarian Cup of the season 1930/31 the club, then playing as III. Kerületi TVE, defeated Ferencvárosi TC 4-1. [edit] HistoryThe greatest success of the modern era was in 1996, when the team won the second division and thus was promoted top the top flight, the NBI. In the next year the team from Óbuda was relegated but managed an immediate comeback which also lasted solely one year. In 2000 III. Kerületi merged with Csepel SC and moved the first team to Csepel Island. For the next two years the club played under the Csepel SC name. The youth teams stayed at Óbuda. The football section of Csepel was dissolved after the season 2001/02 and in 2003 the senior football re-formed at the club now called III. Kerületi TUE, back in the III district. The team started in the fourth division which the club won undefeated. Since then the team has been playing in the third Hungarian division (2007).
