"I'm 'n Luv (Wit a Stripper)" (censored as "I'm 'n Luv (Wit a Dancer)" or simply "I'm 'n Luv") is a single performed by American R&B artist T-Pain featuring rapper Mike Jones. Released in late 2005 (though the music video was not released until the week of January 16, 2006), it peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it T-Pain's second top 10 single, and Mike Jones' first. This is T-Pain's third most successful single to date, tying with his other "Bartender", but Mike Jones's most successful single to date.
[edit] DetailsA controversial song, it centers around a man who goes to a strip club and wants to take a certain girl over to his place to spend the night. A censored version was made, called "I'm 'n Luv (Wit a Dancer)", to eliminate the sexual references. Some radio stations play the censored version, some the original, but with profanities removed. The original version of the music video never made it on TV, presumably due to content, forcing a second music video to be made. The song was made with Apple-produced software called, "GarageBand". The guitar in the song is called Steel String Acoustic, the synth is called Future Synth and the hip-hop bass and drum machine is the Hip Hop Kit. Apple confirmed that T-Pain uses GarageBand with an article about it. [edit] Charts
[edit] Remixes and parodiesA remix had been made featuring Twista, Pimp C, Paul Wall, R. Kelly, MJG and Too Short titled "I'm 'n Luv (Wit a Stripper) 2 - Tha Remix". A video has also been released for this remix, which is on iTunes. An additional remix with the various artists includes verses by Busta Rhymes and Pitbull. Moreover, in the iTunes' Triple Play single, it includes a reggaeton remix. Another remix features Keak da Sneak titled "I'm 'n Luv wit a Ripper". The song is parodied by "Weird Al" Yankovic with "I'm 'n Luv wit the Skipper" during his Straight Outta Lynwood Tour. Akon's song "I Wanna Love You" and Ray J's "Sexy Can I" have many strong resemblances/similarities with this song in the sense that it also involves strong sexual metaphors with a stripper, and that the main protagonist of the song is attracted to a woman in a strip bar. Of note is that T-Pain is a protege of Akon. Chingo Bling made a parody of the song called "I'm N Luv (Wit your Sister) In 2007, The Chonga Girls made a song on youtube called "I'm In Love With a Chonga" with views of 782,337 as of November 29, 2009 [edit] References
