The Higher Secondary Certificate, also known as HSC, is a public examination taken by students in Bangladesh, Pakistan and in the states of Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra and Goa in India after successfully completing at least twelve years of schooling, that is two years after doing Secondary School Certificate. The examination structure differs from board to board. But in the most of the boards, they are subjective examinations.

Not to be confused with the Higher School Certificate, a credential awarded to secondary school students who successfully complete senior high school level studies (years 11 and 12 or equivalent) in New South Wales, Australia.
