High Moon Studios (formerly Sammy Studios), was part of Sierra Entertainment, is an American video game developer that started out as Sammy Studios and, after a period as independent studio in January 2006 under the current studio name, was acquired by Vivendi Games. It is now owned by Activision Blizzard, and is now a subsidiary of Activision.

High Moon is known for their 2005 Xbox and PlayStation 2 game Darkwatch, a first person shooter (FPS) blending the Vampire-Horror and Western genres. They are also known for The Bourne Conspiracy, a game based on the character Jason Bourne from Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Identity series (novels), which received generally positive reviews for its sense of excitement and hand-to-hand fighting[citation needed]. On December 2009, Activision has announced Transformers: War for Cybertron.

High Moon Studios employs around 100 people and the studio is based in Carlsbad, California, a seaside city in San Diego County. The company's development teams are utilizing a product methodology known as Scrum, a process derived from Agile methodology.[1]
