Hecca was an Anglo-Saxon Bishop of Selsey. According to the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, version C, Heca, then chaplain to King Edward the Confessor, became bishop when Grimketel died in 1047.[citation needed] He was an Englishman,[1] and a royal clerk.[2] He died in 1057.[3][4]
