Hari Sreenivasan is a correspondent for PBS NewsHour. Sreenivasan joined, on December 7, 2009 when that program changed its name from The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. [1] Previously, he was a Dallas-based correspondent for CBS News, beginning in March 12, 2007. Until February 2007, he was a New York-based ABC News correspondent. Prior to that Sreenivasan was a news anchor on ABC's World News Now, serving as lead co-anchor from August 2006 to February 2007 (with Taina Hernandez). He was born in Bombay, India, but attended high school in Seattle, Washington, where he became a radio disc jockey. During college at the University of Puget Sound, Sreenivasan interned for several TV news stations in Washington state before being hired full-time in 1995 by WNCN TV in Raleigh, North Carolina. He later moved to San Francisco, California, to work for CNET, covering the high tech sector. In 2004, Sreenivasan left CNET to join ABC News in New York City. Along with ABC correspondent Jake Tapper, Sreenivasan also co-hosted the behind-the-scenes podcast ABC News Shuffle. His last episode was on February 9, 2007. [edit] References[edit] External links
