[edit] Early career and Hertha BSC

After a disappointing loan spell at Club Santa Fe, Ramos returned to América de Cali and was one of the biggest reasons for them getting to the final of the Mustang Cup. At this point, he made sure that he was ready for a place on the national team. In the summer of 2009, he signed a contract with Hertha BSC.

[edit] International career

He played for Colombia U-17 in the 2003 World Cup and was awarded the golden boot for scoring 5 goals. This helped Colombia finish 3rd. He received a full international call up and started for Colombia on August 20, 2008 in a friendly against Ecuador in New Jersey.
