Gregory Andrew "Greg" Germann (born February 26, 1958)[1] is an American actor. He is perhaps best known for his role as Richard Fish in the television series Ally McBeal, while horror fans remembered him as the nerdish and ill-fated businessman Mattson from Child's Play 2 and the vet Laurence from Quarantine. He is also known by child fans for appearing the Nickelodeon musical film Spectacular! and the Disney film Bolt.
[edit] Life and careerGermann was born in Houston, Texas and raised on the Lookout Mountain outside of Golden, Colorado. His father, Edward A. Germann, was a playwright and professor, and his mother, Marlene Marian (née Faulkner), was a homemaker.[1] Germann became a theater major at the University of Northern Colorado. He began acting in Broadway plays including Assassins, The Person I Once Was (opposite Holly Hunter) and War Games. He has had roles in numerous movies and television shows, including the American sitcom Ned and Stacey. In 2006, he guest-starred on the ABC series, Desperate Housewives. Germann directed a few Ally McBeal episodes, including "Fear of Flirting" (season 5, episode 4). He appeared on ABC's In Case of Emergency as Sherman Yablonsky until it was canceled after one season. Most recently, he appeared in the pilot episode of Eureka as the director of operations, Warren King. He did not reprise the role, and his character's disappearance was explained in the official comic book as having been reassigned to Alaska. Germann is married to Christine Mourad, and their son Asa was born in 1997. Germann is currently starring in the Broadway comedy Boeing-Boeing opposite Christine Baranski, Mark Rylance, Missi Pyle, Paige Davis and Rebecca Gayheart. [edit] Filmography
