Greg Classen (born August 24, 1977 in Aylsham, Saskatchewan) is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre who is currently under contract to the EHC Basel. [edit] CareerClassen played college hockey at Merrimack College and went undrafted. He spent his first five pro seasons in the Nashville Predators organization, splitting time between the parent club and the Milwaukee Admirals. In 2004 Classen signed with Finland's SM-liiga club Ässät. Returning to the Admirals for 2005–6, he played the following season in Germany with DEL club Hamburg Freezers. On July 3, 2007, it was announced he had signed a contract with the Canucks. He was recently cut by the Canucks, and now plays with their American Hockey League affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, Classen wears number 38 with the Canucks. He moved from American Hockey League team Providence Bruins the farm team of Boston Bruins to German team Iserlohn Roosters. [edit] Season-by-season statistics
