Gosha-e-Durood is a full time sufi institute like the traditional khanqah where individuals gather for remembrance and recitation of greetings and salutations (Salat and Salam) upon the Islamic prophet Muhammad salallahho alayhi wasalam. This is a unique spiritual retreat and approach for character reformation. It was established on 3 December 2005 by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and is based at the headquarters of Minhaj-ul-Quran International in Lahore, Pakistan.

The individuals recite verses from the Quran, Durood and Salam, non-stop on daily basis, 24 hours a day. A group of 8 people attend the gathering for at least 10 days to take part in a unique spiritual experience. The individuals change shifts every 8 hours to cover the whole 24 hours.^[1]

The remote users from abroad can be registed on the website and submit their recitation of durood online. After every month a spiritual gathering takes place in Lahore which includes recitation of Quran, naat and speeches on spirituality and durood is submitted upon the Prophet Muhammad salallaho alayhi wasalam ^[2]In the last 2 years trillions of Salutations have been recited for the Holy Prophet Muhammad salallaho alayhi wasalam. ^[3]

A purpose built building with Mawlana Rumi style minaretis under construction, expected to be completed by 2009. ^[4]
