The Golden Elk is a shot featuring one part Goldschläger and one part Jägermeister. It has also been referred to as "Liquid cocaine," "Jägerschläger", "Sledgehammer", "Screaming Nazi", "Gestapo", "Iron Curtain", "Burning Nazi" and "Nazi Zombie"^[1]. The name Golden Elk is derived from the gold in Goldschläger and the image of the deer which appears on the bottle of Jägermeister (the elk is an animal not native to Germany, but it resembles the German deer pictured on the bottle).
