God, as a male deity, contrasts with female deities, or "goddesses". While the term 'goddess' specifically refers to a female deity, words like 'gods' and 'deities' can be applied to all gods collectively, regardless of gender. They don't necessarily refer to male gods in specific. This article focuses on the last category.

The most prominent triad of Hinduism, Trimurti (which can be seen as three aspects of the same god) is usually depicted as all male (Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu). In most polytheistic religions, both in history and in the present, male deities had the more prominent role. The Greek and Roman pantheon was ruled by Zeus and Jupiter, while Wōden had a similar role in the Germanic religion. When Ancient Egyptian religion developed closer to monotheism, it was Amun, a male god, who rose to the most prominent place. War gods were, like the rulers of the pantheon, typically male, too; Ares/Mars and Toutatis are obvious examples. Wōden was both king of the gods and a god of war. Athena, a goddess also often associated with war and strategy, is a notable exception. Sekhmet also is an exception, as is Ishtar. Gods have taken several different forms including animals, and elements of nature.

From Professor Christopher Clay Lord (origin: 2002) The word "god" comes from the Germanic word "Gott". The word "Gott" means "Goat" in German. The "goat" is a horned beast (Bovidae, cloven hoof), worshipped by religions, satanic worshipers and occults worldwide. The inverted pentagram is known as the goathead, used to invoke in magic rituals. A sacrificial animal used since ancient times. The month of capricorn is the month of Saturnalia (December) what we call Christmas, when gods sun is reborn. Look up pictures of "Santa riding the Goat". Santa is Saturn and Satan (Anthropomorphism). In ancient times goats were sacrificed to the sun god among many other animals like bulls (saturn or EL). Pan is the grandson of Saturn. EL or Saturn is the god of the Bible, god of the Jews, Israelites (Semetic god). That's why George Bush was reading a story about "goats" to the kids, during the 911 (711) Illuminati ritual sacrifice, because "kids" are "baby goats". Look at Freemasonic pictures of the Twin Pillars and the Goat. The twin pillars go back to ancient Sumerian but the twin pillars of King Solomon (Jachin & Boaz) is better known. The Bibles warns how the devil (Satan) will be a "wolf in sheep's clothing". Everyone uses the word "God", what a Coincidence that the word means "goat" (Baphomet). It is said that the Freemasons worship the goat god "Baphomet". See pictures of Freemasons & Baphomet. Author: Christopher Clay Lord 11/20/2009
