Global Futbol Initiative (GFI) is an international nonprofit organization founded in 2007^[1]. Global Futbol Initiative donates soccer balls to children living in poverty all around the world. The organization manages charitable projects in countries designated as Low-income economies and Lower-middle-income economies by The World Bank.^[2] GFI is based in Los Angeles, California and is registered as tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.^[1]
