Glenferrie Oval is an Australian rules football stadium located in Hawthorn, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

It is the historic home of and is synonymous with the Hawthorn Football Club, who played there from 1903 and as a VFL/AFL club from 1925-1973, and retained the ground as an administrative and training base until 2006. Hawthorn Football Club moved to a redeveloped Waverley Park early in 2006 in preparation for the 2006 AFL Season.

The location of the ground has always been expansion prohibitive, wedged between the Belgrave/Lilydale railway line and nearby side streets, which led to it being known as the "sardine can" by fans.^[1]

The ground includes -

• the heritage registered grandstand (1938), named after Hawthorn legend Michael Tuck.
• the Ferguson stand (1960's), which the council intends to demolish.
• the Victorian Weightlifting Stadium ^[1]
• the social club (1963), which in 2008 was sold by the Hawthorn Football Club and subsequently demolished.

The last game that Hawthorn played there was in August 1973 when Hawthorn lost to St Kilda by 20 points.

The ground is open to the general public, and is used for a variety of recreation and leisure activities including aerobie.
