Giraffa is a genus of mammals in the Giraffidae family. The genus consists of seven species including the giraffe, Giraffa camelopardalis, the only extant species. The species G. attica was formerly considered part of Giraffa but was reclassified as Bohlinia attica in 1929.[2]
