Gerard Clark Bond (May 20, 1940 – June 29, 2005) was an American geologist. He worked at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory in Palisades, New York, after teaching briefly at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts and the University of California, Davis. Bond theorized that variations in solar activity — the appearance of sunspots and changes in the emission of solar radiation — might be driving 1,500-year-cycles of cold events in Northern Hemisphere climate — the so-called Heinrich events.

Bond received his Bachelor of Science degree at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, where his father Ralph Bond was a Professor of Geology.
