Gauri Pradhan Tejwani born Gauri Pradhan on 16 September 1979 in Kashmir, India. She is a well known and versatile Indian television Actress.

Gauri Pradhan's father was a Major in the Indian Army so she lived in a lot of places in India throughout her childhood. After her father's retirement, her family settled down in Pune where she studied Psychology in SP College. In 1998, she came to Mumbai to take part in Miss India and reached among the five finalist.

Gauri started her career with modelling, ramp work and commercials. She made her acting debut in and as Noorjehan, the Mughal Empress which aired on Door Darshan. In October 2001 came Kutumb which became very successful and made her into a household name. She entered in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi as Nandini Thakkar. She has also made special appearances in the series Rihaee and Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin on Sony. In March 2005 she entered the popular show Special Squad as the special squad head.

She was nominated for the MTV Lycra Style Awards in the category for Most Stylish Person on TV (Female) in 2004. In 2005, Gauri won the Best Evergreen Pair of the decade on Sony television with husband Hiten for Kutumb. In 2005 & 2007 & recently in 2008 she won the star parivar favourite jodi award with husband Hiten (for the characters Karan and Nandini in KSBKBT).They are the only jodi to have won it thrice till date.

In 2006 she was awarded for best supporting actress in the Indian Television Awards for her portrayal of the character Nandani

She is married to Hiten Tejwani, her co-star from 'Kutumb' and 'Kyunki'. She first met Hiten while doing an ad film 'Breeze'. They got married on 29 April 2004 in Pune.^[1] They are expecting their twins, as Gauri is 8 months pregnant as of October 2009.
