GMA Canada is the Gospel Music Association of Canada (formerly known as the CGMA). Created in 1974, the organization is a not for profit association whose mission is to promote the growth and ministry of Christian music arts in Canada. GMA Canada works to raise the profile and interaction of Christian artists, songwriters, producers, promoters and others working in Christian music with media, retailers, distributors and church leadership.

The organization is committed to nurturing and developing its members through educational programs as well as celebrating outstanding achievements and standards of excellence in all areas and genres of Canadian Gospel music. To this end, GMA Canada is the presenter of the annual Covenant Awards, Canada’s national awards for the Canadian Gospel Music industry. The 2010 awards are scheduled to be presented in October in Calgary as part of GMA Canada Week (October 26th - 29th). Awards will be handed out in over 50 categories, including the GMA Canada Lifetime Achievement Award.

The business of the association is conducted by a Board of Directors that is drawn from its membership. Current board members of the GMA Canada, as of November 2009, include Martin Smith (President), Andrew Horrocks, Evangeline Inman, Harold Weins (Treasurer), Gregory J. Strom (Vice President), Mark Imbach, Kevin Pauls Marshall Zacharias and Leroy Harder. GMA Canada is associated with the Gospel Music Association in the United States. In the spring of 2008 GMA Canada also released a 30th Anniversary three-CD compilation featuring a history of Canadian Christian music.
