[edit] HistoryThe history of G. B. Road can be dated back to Mughal era. It is said that there were total five red light areas or kothas in Delhi at that time. The night life of mughal aristocrates and patrons flourished the livelihood of sex workers in these areas. Then came the British Raj, when a British collector consolidated all the five kothas to one area and christened it on his own name, Garstin Bastion Road or simply G. B. Road. Some people have reportedly experienced being conned and robbed in G.B. Road. [edit] LocationG. B. Road is situated in the heart of capital city of India, Delhi. It is ten minutes walk away from the New Delhi Railway Station or New Delhi Metro station. Or you can take a rickshaw from New Delhi Metro Station.
