Freenet.de was a German telecommunications and Internet service provider. The company was formerly a subsidiary of Mobilcom. In 2004, its EBITDA was 471.5 million euro. In 2006/2007, there was a merger of Freenet.de with Mobilcom and the resulting company changed the name to freenet AG. In May 2008 freenet ag overtakes the debitel AG, a telecommunication company.
