Freeman Tulley Knowles (October 10, 1846 – June 1, 1910) was a U.S. Populist politician.

He was born in Harmony, Maine. He was elected as a Populist to the United States House of Representatives from South Dakota in 1896 and served from March 4, 1897 to March 3, 1899. He died in Deadwood, South Dakota.

Knowles was a Civil War veteran and attorney before being elected to Congress. On settling in Deadwood, he started a socialist newspaper, The Lantern, and was jailed on several occasions for writing on topics like miner's unions and abortion.[1]
