Frank "Frenkie" Schinkels (born 9 January 1963 in Rotterdam, Netherlands) is a former professional football midfielder and Austrian international team player, who was last the manager of SK Austria Kärnten. [edit] Club careerFrank started his career in Feyenoord youth squad, never representing club at senior level, as Feyenoord manager Jan Mak moved to Sweden and Halmstads BK he took Frank Schinkels with him, witch made Frank the first foreign player ever playing for the club, he spent 2 seasons in the club before moving back home to the Netherlands and AZ Alkmaar and then Excelsior Rotterdam. After only 2 seasons he moved to Austria and Salzburger AK 1914, he represented a large group of clubs in Austria on several different levels, he spent his longest time with VSE St.Pölten and he most successful was with SV Austria Salzburg when the club come in second place in 1992-1993 season. He continued to be active player until 2005, during this time he also became valid UEFA manager, coaching three of he's former clubs. [edit] International careerDuring his time in Austria he gained Austrian citizenship and was chosen to represent the Austrian national team in 7 games between 1992 and 1994, scoring 1 goal against the Netherland.
