Frank Barton is a former professional rugby league footballer of the 1940s and '50s who at representative level has played for Great Britain, England, and British Empire XIII, and at club level for Wigan, playing at Prop forward, or Hooker, i.e. number 8 or 10, or 9, during the era of contested scrums. [edit] International HonoursFrank Barton won caps for England while at Wigan in 1951 against Other Nations; in 1952 against Other Nations, won a cap for British Empire XIII while at Wigan in 1952 against New Zealand, and won a cap for Great Britain while at Wigan in 1951 against New Zealand.[1] Frank Barton also represented Great Britain while at Wigan between 1952 and 1956 against France (1 non-Test match).[2] [edit] References
