The firm was founded in 1907 with two attorneys.^[4]

In recent years, Fox Rothschild has grown primarily by mergers with other firms, merging with Grotta, Glassman & Hoffman in 2006, and with Young, Moriwaki & Greenfader in early 2007.^[5] In 2008, the firm absorbed the intellectual property boutique firm of Synnestvedt & Lechner. ^[6] The smaller firm had been plagued with management problems, with partners defecting to some of the other large Philadelphia firms.^[3]
