[edit] Description

The Spanish actress Verónica Forqué waves the SADR flag.

The flag, originally used by the Polisario Front, consists of the colours black, green, white and red. The overall design of the flag is similar to that of Palestine, but this was not intentional. This flag, among many others, was derived from the colours used in the Arab Revolt. The star and crescent are major symbols of Islam and can be seen on flags of other Islamic countries, such as Pakistan.

[edit] Construction sheet

An official construction sheet for the SADR flag was released by the SADR Government in June 1987. The flag ratio is 1:2 and the length of the red triangle is 1/3rd of the total flag.[1]
