Filippo Chillemi was born May 12, 1982, in White Plains, New York, to Frank and Angela Chillemi.

Chillemi is a former soccer player of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division 1 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Prior to his college career, he was a regular member of the US Youth National Soccer Team, and took part in the first IMG Residency Program with fellow teammates Bobby Convey, Landon Donovan, and DaMarcus Beasley.[1] After college, he spent a year playing in Italy with FC Mazzarra, FC Olbia, and Empoli FC, and has retired from play due to an ankle injury. He is currently pursuing a career in medicine. He attended Roswell High School in Roswell, Georgia.
