Fernando Colunga Olivares (born March 3, 1966 in Mexico City, Mexico) is a Mexican actor known for his performances in Mexican telenovelas, including María Mercedes, María la del Barrio, Esmeralda, Nunca Te Olvidare, Abrazame muy Fuerte, Amor Real and most recently Mañana Es Para Siempre

Fernando Colunga was born on March 3, 1966 in Mexico City, Mexico. His father is Don Fernando Colunga and his mother Dona Margarita Olivares. Fernando was born to a criollo (of pure spanish/european descent) family. Fernando Colunga dreamed from the time that he was a little boy that he wanted to be an actor. Fernando graduated from the University of Mexico as a civil engineer. But after advice from a friend, Fernando went to Televisa, one of the most succesful studios in Mexico known to produce world-seen telenovelas. Fernando started his career as a stand-in. A producer noticed his great acting talent and from then, he is known as Mexico's best actor who has participated on telenovelas with the greatest audience who have been seen world wide.
