Fenerbahçe Acıbadem is the women's volleyball section of Fenerbahçe S.K., a major sports club in Istanbul, Turkey. Club sponsored by Acıbadem Healthcare Group. Fenerbahçe Acıbadem play their matches in 1160-seat arena, called the Burhan Felek 50. Yıl Spor Salonu. A new hall with capacity 12.000 is to be built in a few years.[1]

[edit] HistoryFenerbahçe Women's Volleyball Branch was founded to 1954 and won 9 İstanbul League and 8 Turkish Championship. In 1977, she was dissolved due to lack of money. In 1989, she was refounded and promoted from Istanbul First League to Second League in 1993 and to First League in 1994. She relegated to Second League in 1995-96 season. She finally returned to First League in 2002-2003 season. Fenerbahçe became 2nd in 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 seasons. She renamed as Fenerbahçe Acıbadem due to signing sponsorship agreement with Acıbadem Hospitals in 2007. [edit] Achievements[edit] International success
