Federico Xavier Azcárate Ochoa (born 15 June 1984 in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires) is an Argentine footballer who currently plays for Polideportivo Ejido, as a central defender.

Azcárate moved as a youngster to Spain, first representing lowly FC Cartagena. In 2003, he joined newly promoted La Liga side Real Murcia, but would only appear in nine matches combined in two seasons, the second spent in the second division.

From 2005-07, he represented Atlético de Madrid, but would never make it past its B team.

After spending an unassuming season in Greece, with AEK Athens F.C., Azcárate returned to Spain, joining third level's Polideportivo Ejido.^[1]
