The Mexican Football Federation (Spanish: Federación Mexicana de Fútbol Asociación or FEMEXFUT) is the governing body of football in Mexico. It administers the Mexican national team, the Mexican League and all affiliated amateur sectors. The headquarters are located in Mexico City. The league is composed of four professional divisions: Primera División, Liga de Ascenso, Segunda División, and Tercera División; the Superliga is the top flight of women's football in Mexico. The Federation has its own facility, Centro de Alto Rendimiento (CAR), for the training of the national teams located in the southern suburbs of Mexico City In recent years, criticism about FEMEXFUT has increased[citation needed] because in addition to the local tournament and the CONCACAF Champions League, Primera División clubs are allowed to participate in 3 extra football competitions including:
