At the age of fifteen, a talent agent asked her to become a teen actress, but she turned down the offer to focus on studying and get into college. In 2004, soon after she got into college, she first appeared on television as Pelin in the tv series "Bir Dilim Ask", which marking her screen debut at age 17. During the years, she had roles in the top-rated tv series and the popularity of the series made Ezgi Asaroglu well known to audiences in Turkey. In 2005, she appeared in the short movie What's Love Doing in the Mountains? which won awards at film festivals around the world.(Turkey/USA 2005, 28 min.) Her first long feature film role came in the 2008 award winner independent film For a Moment, Freedom aka Ein Augenblick Freiheit which is a tragicomic drama.(Austria/France 2008, 110 min.) In 2009, she appeared in her first leading role in Kampuste Ciplak Ayaklar. She is still pursuing her bachelor's degree in culturel antropology at Istanbul University, while she is working on the films.
