Excitatory gnosis describes a mindlessness reached through intense arousal.^[1] It is aimed to be reached through sexual excitation, intense emotions, flagellation, dance, druming, chanting, sensory overload, the "right way of walking"^[2] described by Carlos Castaneda, hyperventilation and the use of disinhibitory or hallucinogenic drugs.^[3]
