Evesham Technology was a computer company based in Evesham, Worcestershire, England. In its time, it has been known as "Evesham Micros", then briefly as "Evesham.com" and is today known as "Evesham Technology".

The company was founded in 1983 by Richard Austin, who continued as Chairman and controlling shareholder until its administration.
In 1998, the company relocated to purpose built facilities at Vale Park. In 2002 it merged with Mertec, a South Wales based company. Until 2007, Evesham Technology employed more than 300 people and officially had 16 retail branches around the UK.
Its product range included Desktops, Laptops, Servers, Plasma and LCD displays, Media PC's and NAS servers.
It was a founding member of the PC Association and was one of the few key suppliers recommended by BECTA, the UK's educational ICT advisory organisation.
[edit] Financial problems and restructure
In 2007 the company encountered a number of financial problems due mainly to the closure of the Government Home Computer Initiative scheme into which the company had invested heavily. In 3 August 2007, the company was thrown a lifeline of $22m by PCC Technology, a Dubai based investment fund controlled by Time Group founder Tahir Mohsan although there were significant staff redundancies and all of its own retail stores were closed. [1] . The investment from PCC allowed the company to close down in an orderly manner without customers losing money.
[edit] Geemore Technology T/A Evesham
Evesham brand continued to trade under a much smaller and re-structured company called Geemore Technology Ltd. Customers were not affected by the re-structure and about 30% of the same workforce still worked for GeemoreTechnology until the final closure in March 2008
In February 2008, PCC Technology, the new owners of the Evesham brand issued a press release saying that the restructuring of the failed Evesham Technology was complete and had, under the circumstances gone well. They also indicated that they were looking to resell the Evesham brand which was trading under the new company – Geemore Technology Ltd.
On the 31st of March 2008 the contracts of all remaining Evesham staff who stayed on at Geemore under a three month contract expired and the company ceased trading in Evesham. The companies offices are currently up for sale, and all showrooms have now closed. The website www.evesham.com remains operational at this time but it is unsure what happens to any orders placed on it. All the local evesham telephone numbers and the 0800 support numbers have closed.
