EAD, developed by EUROCONTROL Member States, is a reference database of quality-assured aeronautical information, and includes a fully integrated state-of-the-art Aeronautical Information Services (AIS) solution, for the benefit of the ECAC (European Civil Aviation Conference) Member States and all airspace users.

AIS units, acting as Data Providers, maintain the aeronautical information under their responsibility whereas airspace users, acting as Data Users, retrieve, consult, and download such information.
